At the heart of the RZR XP 1000 Premium lies a liquid-cooled, 999cc ProStar™ DOHC parallel-twin engine featuring electronic fuel injection . This powerplant delivers a factory-rated 110 horsepower at 8,000 rpm, providing exhilarating acceleration and hill-climbing capability .

Power is transferred through an automatic Polaris Variable Transmission (PVT) with Park, Reverse, Neutral, Low, and High (P/R/N/L/H) gearing . The transmission features high-performance true on-demand AWD/2WD drive system, allowing riders to switch between 2WD and AWD on the fly .
